Michelle and Stephen brought the party (and their adorable dog) with their vintage inspired wedding at Lighthouse Point Park‘s carousel in New Haven CT.
Michelle got ready right next to the carousel with her best friends, and the atmosphere was full of excitement. Michelle was finishing her make up . y the time I arrived and her rescue dog Autumn was sitting by her side. After make up was done, the girls went out to the beach to cheers Michelle on starting her new life.
Stephen got ready with his brother and closest friends at a nearby boutique hotel in downtown new haven; The New Haven Hotel. He and the boys drank and cracked jokes all morning long before getting on the bus to the venue.
Father - Daughter 1st Look
Before doing her first look with Stephen inside the carousel, Michelle had a short 1st look with her father. It was also a nice way to surprise him with his gift.
After her 1st look with her father, Michelle went inside the Carousel for the 1st look with Stephen. The backdrop of the carousel lights was absolutely perfect for their 1st look. After hugging and shedding a few tears, Michelle and Stephen exchanged beautiful gifts to each other and then read their vows in privacy.
Michelle and Stephen's ceremony took place on the beach across the way from the carousel. It was perfect day, the sun was shining and they were surrounded by their loved ones. Before exchanging the rings, each member of the bridal party and their parents and Stephen's grandmother blessed the rings with their love for the two of them.
Michelle and Stephen's wedding reflected all the most important things to them. Their invitation had a gorgeous watercolor painting of the Cliffs of Moher, the place that Stephen proposed to Michelle. The different shades of blue for the bridesmaids dresses complemented the beachside ceremony perfectly and Michelle's' Art Deco dress and jewelry were a perfect mix of old and new, much like the carousel venue itself.
Michelle's engagement ring is inlaid with a beautiful emerald and Stephen's wedding band as adorned with Celtic knots, all of which reflected Stephen's strong connection with his Irish heritage.
