SARAH + GEORGE | GREAT NECK COUNTRY CLUB, WATERFORD CT | CHIC NAUTICAL WEDDING
Sarah and George got married this summer at one of my favorite Connecticut venues; Great Neck Country Club. For those not in the know, it is a beautiful country club in Waterford, CT. They had their ceremony at Saint Agnes Catholic Church, which was a stained glass lovers dream. The day was absolutely perfect for their perfect day!

Sarah and George got married this summer at the beautiful Great Neck Country Club, which is a beautiful country club in Waterford, CT. They had their ceremony at Saint Agnes Catholic Church, which is the perfect setting. It was a beautiful day and the sun shone all day long!
Getting ready
Sarah got ready at an adorable beach cottage with her sister and closest friends, and the atmosphere was full of excitement. Sarah and her girls were so amazing and indulged me as I asked them to jump in the freezing ocean and trust Sarah to pop open a bottle of champagne. After putting on her dress and some finishing touches she read Georges love letter, that they exchanged earlier in the morning. The letter expressed their excitement not only for that day, but the rest of their lives.

The ceremony
The ceremony was an intimate service in a beautiful Catholic church in Niantic, CT. The church was surrounded by tall stained glass and a beautiful balcony were the organist played. During the ceremony, they had communion. It was a beautiful way to share not only their love of each other, but their love for God with their family and friends.

Reception
After the Reception, the wedding party headed down to McCook Point for their photos. Sarah and George's’ wedding party were amazing and ready to have a great time. They tacked, bear hugged and called out who had a few too many drinks the night before.
The reception was held at Great Neck Country Club. They chose the venue because they loved the interior design, reminding them of the interior of an old wooden ship and they just fell in love with it. The wedding was a nautical themed wedding with succulent accents, which was awesome since the ocean is so special to both Sarah and George. I love shooting at Great Neck Country Club weddings because the grounds are so gorgeous and expansive, you have plenty of space for photos. Especially smoke bomb photos! Before complete sunset, I took Sarah and George out and lit some smoke bombs, they danced and dipped their way through the pink and green smoke!
